"We are a strong community of dreamers and doers. This is what makes us who we are, and this is our city - a city that allows us to be ourselves and live free..."
I’m at my desk in my apartment. It’s my sacred place devoted to endless writing, creating and coffee indulging. A few people have asked me what it's like to come up with blog posts. Well, it’s fun! I start working, creating some serious article and then I end up making collages, styling my work desk, or browsing blogs. (My goodness there are so many fabulous blogs out there! I promise I’ll do a post on this topic later.) My creative fairy usually wakes up after my third espresso between 4 and 6 in the afternoon. This time slot has something magical to it. When others end their work day, I’m just starting! The key for creativity and my manifesto for everything is: Go and make that stuff. Write posts you want to read, draw the art you want to see, do the work you want to see done :) Easy!
As a passionate social media girl, design lover and a blogger I'm constantly educating myself. I do a ton of reading and I'm always searching for the freshest stuff. The digital world is evolving so fast that information that is new today, will be old tomorrow. Social media and photo blogging requires many skills, some learned and some innate. But most of all, it requires time. And you can't just be creative. You also have to be, or learn to be technical. In some cases, you might even end up learning a bit about web servers and basic coding skills. I live for exercising my creativity and tech skills!
If you're looking for a great training on Digital Marketing, I can highly recommend Digital Marketing Consultant Najam Ahmed at SEO International. The Inbound, Social, Content and Digital Marketing Training workshop covers everything from SEO, Google AdWords, Google Analytics to Social Media Marketing and it gives a knowledge of website promotion, Pay Per Click campaigns and integrating digital marketing with traditional marketing. And Najam is a super Trainer, who is always ready to help!
I’ve been going back to some of the books I bought on Social Media, Blogging, SEO and Digital Topics. I really love the books listed below this article. So if you are keen on pursuing a career in Digital Marketing like I am, these books should help you get started: The zen of social media marketing by Shama Kabani, Pimp my site by Paula Wynne , Going social by Jeremy Goldman and my favorite inspirational books on the picture below :
Dubai is a wonderful city. But behind the glitz and the glamour lies a completely different world. A world of workers, who build this city from early mornings till late evenings for very poor wages. The living conditions of workers camps is still a very sensitive subject. Human beings with heart on the right place should find the living situation of workers very sad and I am sure that in each one of us lies a question. Why? Am I able to help? How?
Fortunately not all the aspect of life in camps are sad as we might imagine. A Dubai based photographer Fahad Bhatti, who in my opinion captures the most hilarious social and documentary photography in Dubai, illustrates a different vibe from a regular Friday as it is workers only day off. The atmosphere changes into a flea market with various goods available on cheap rates of their daily needs.
These gripping photographs may mean more to some of us than to others. Bhatti's photographs elicit thoughts and feelings words simply will not suffice. Hopefully, they will remind us, that we can always use a little bit more love, tolerance, compassion and understanding.

I was excited like a little kid to attend Ruben’s art show in Tashkeel called ”THE B SIDE” representing volumes of creativity which have gone into curating this signature body of art from one of the most unique artists in Dubai.
